What is Standard Extended Shipping (15 business days)?
Standard Extended Shipping is our international shipping option for orders shipped from Italy to the United States.
Shipments to the United States take approximately 15 business days from the moment the package is collected by the courier.
This shipping method allows us to ship our artisan products safely across the United States while ensuring proper handling during international transportation.
When does the shipping time start?
The shipping start date is confirmed during the checkout process.
The delivery timeframe of 15 business days begins when the shipment is picked up by the courier, not when the order is placed.
Why does shipping take about 15 business days?
Orders to the United States are shipped from Italy via UPS Ground international service, not express shipping.
During the first part of the journey, shipments are transported as consolidated pallet shipments.
Because of this, tracking updates may appear limited or may show the status “in transit” for several days.
Once the shipment arrives in the United States and completes customs clearance, each parcel enters the UPS Small Package phase.
At that point:
the package is individually scanned
tracking updates become more frequent
the final delivery date is confirmed
This process is completely normal for international ground shipments and explains the overall delivery timeframe of about 15 business days.
Why are tracking updates sometimes limited?
During the first stage of international transport, packages travel together on consolidated pallets.
For this reason, tracking may not update frequently until the shipment reaches the United States and enters the UPS individual parcel network.
Once this step is completed, the tracking will update more regularly.
Can delivery take longer during holidays?
Yes. During peak seasonal periods such as:

Black Friday
Christmas
deliveries may occasionally experience delays due to higher shipping volumes and customs processing times.
